About Gavin Campion

In addition to his well-known reputation as an entrepreneur, Gavin Campion is highly regarded for his ability to breathe life into existing businesses. Unlike his competitors who focus on a particular space, Gavin has a diverse portfolio of successful ventures in the world of marketing, video technology, customer loyalty programs, and software development. Gavin Campion has also made a name for himself in cloud-based technology as both a start-up and turnaround entrepreneur.

Gavin received his B.A. degree with Honours in Marketing from Huddersfield University, located in the United Kingdom. A cutting-edge institution, the school was the first of its kind to introduce Marketing into their undergraduate degrees, and they remain at the forefront of marketing innovation.

After graduation, Gavin returned to Australia and founded his own marketing services firm.  His agency, Reality Group, won the esteemed Australian Agency of the Year in 2003 and attracted first-rate advertising clients such as BP, Tabcorp, Saab, and General Motors. After selling his company for a profit a few years later, Gavin turned his attention to the B2B retail space.

Gavin Campion acquired two companies, Shoppers Advantage and Presidential Card. As the CEO and Chairman of Shoppers Advantage, Gavin rebranded the business model into a highly successful SaaS-based e-commerce platform. In his other venture, Presidential Card, Gavin served as the Director, turning the appeal of an exclusive lifestyle benefits program into one of Australia’s most extensive online discount programs. Gavin eventually merged Presidential Card with Strategic Rewards several years later, acquiring several other players in the market along the way. The combined businesses became a powerhouse in the world of the rewards market. Gavin sold his shares in 2013 to further explore the digital marketing world.

Gavin served as the founder and CEO of Sputnik Agency, a digital marketing service. His firm specialised in creating and delivering enterprise-level web-based and mobile projects for clients such as Skype, GSK, Visit Scotland, GoCompare and Swinton Insurance. Gavin grew the company into Australia’s most prominent digital marketing services company. Sputnik Agency won B&T Agency of the Year before Gavin sold it for a profit.

His next undertaking focused on the value of video assets. Gavin invested in and ran several world-leading providers of video asset management solutions (VAMs). One example was Linius Video Technologies, a technology development company that cultivated the first patented, standards-based video query language (VQL). Gavin took over the struggling firm as the part-time CEO. He floated it on the Australian Stock Market (ASX) a few years later, a credit to his successful guidance.
